Since its foundation in 2003, Do Re Mi Music Therapy has led the effort to transform the lives of those in need through Music Therapy.

 

Our Mission

Leading Registered Music Therapist, Ms Yau Wang, has been at the forefront of Music Therapy Programs in Australia and Asia. Being one of the first Music Therapy graduates from Hong Kong she has worked in private practice since 2003, she has paved the way through her outreach work for various organizations which include The Children’s Cancer Foundation and Association of Hong Kong Nursing Staff. She has also worked as a Lecturer in Music Therapy at The Open University of Hong Kong, and through her work with private clients, she has helped change the lives of countless numbers of those in need.

What We've Achieved

  • Produced the first Music Therapy playlist in for MOOV.

  • Teaching Foundation Courses to nurses through The Association of Hong Kong Nursing Staff (AHKNS).

  • Conducting and implementing Music Therapy Courses at Elderly Centres.

  • Helping people through outreach programs for The Children’s Cancer Foundation, HEAP Society, Hong Kong Palliative Care, Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association.

  • Working with organizations including Early Intervention Centres, Special Schools, Nursing Homes, and Psychiatric Hospitals.

  • Our Special Needs students gaining entry to Music Degrees at prestigious Universities.

  • Our Special Needs students winning scholarships to Music degrees in Universities abroad.

  • Our Special Needs students winning 1st prizes at prestigious piano competitions such as the Hong Kong Pacific Piano Open Competition.

  • Our Special Needs students reaching Diploma level exams with AMEB and ABRSM.
